What it does

Who it is for

People who have tried to read Meditations twice and stalled both times. thinkr is built for a few minutes a day rather than a reading project — the point is to leave with one idea you can use, not to finish a book.

Common questions

Is thinkr free? It is free to download, and some of it is free to keep: the first course unit (three lessons), the daily challenge, the daily thought, sample conversations with ten thinkers (from version 1.5; 1.4.2 includes one free question to a thinker), the first passage of each source text, the first guided path and a library preview. Asking the thinkers your own questions needs a Pro subscription, which also opens the full 151-lesson course, every path and source, the complete library, councils, debates, thinker memory and weekly letters. There is no free trial.

Do I need to know any philosophy? No. Every passage comes with plain-English context, and you can ask follow-up questions when something does not land.

Is it only Stoicism? Stoicism is the centre of gravity, but the library and the thinkers span existentialism, ancient Greek philosophy, Eastern traditions and modern thought.
